3. Goal/ Description of the workshop:

The workshop is meant to tackle some problems of interest related to the new concepts of:

E-Language (Electronic Language)
E- Culture (Electronic Culture)
E-Equity (Electronic Equity)

and the ways they can affect the process of teaching for the benefit or risk of students.

4. Connection with the theme:

The opportunities offered by computers could solve many of the problems humanity faces now.

The task is to find the best ways to do that.

Such a task could be achieved by cooperation of people from all over the world through Global Networks.

5.Technological Needs

  1. Computer or notebook (minimum requirements): PENTIUM 133, 16 MB RAM, Display 800x600, 16 millions colors, Floppy, Sound Card, Speakers, Microphone, (Audio system)

    2. Software (installed on the computer or notebook): Microsoft Windows 95/98, Microsoft Power Point 97 (or Microsoft Office 97)

    3. VGA Projector + Screen

The development of new high -technologies and the impact of computers upon the young generation, together with the opportunities offered by them must change teachers’ attitude towards the process of learning to fit the new-need and motivation of the students.

6.3. Where ? -Find solutions (and answers):

The solution can be easily given by teachers who had the opportunity to discover these new techniques. The target of using them is to increase students’ motivation towards learning.

Benefits

The participants will be offered some hints about " how to use"

They will be able to share their experience in the field presenting their personal contributions.
